When can we ever see an end to all the power play and crap in Philippine politics?

Now that is a question that will always be in the minds of all those who are concerned for their country's future.

Being Pinoy can be a mix of being both proud yet ashamed of it at the same time. Proud in the sense that we are Filipinos and are a free people yet ashamed that politics and politicians are using mob rule over the country.

Now we have a mayor from the south and his men beat up an old man and his son, right in front of his daughter during a round of golf.

Piracy, Not the Software Kind

In this year alone, over one hundred attacks by pirates have been reported where up to fourteen vessels and around 250 crew remain hostage to pirates in the Gulf of Aden.

Piracy has been rampant in the area due to the lack of a functional government in Somalia which has been fighting an 19-year civil war. The situation continues to remain high-risk and unstable even has a multi-national naval presence in the region.
