Recently published an article about Webfaction and done a bit of a review. Just to sum it up, the mere fact that there is very little complaints you can find on the internet about how "Webfaction sucks" would tell you how good this web host is at doing their job.

Apparently some of you are owners of blogs that I used to drop on at my old Archon Digital Entrecard account. I deleted all but this last one of my Entrecard accounts so I can still drop casually on friend's blogs whenever I encounter a widget.

Just changed the theme on ArchNet into something more aligned to the latest changes on Archon Digital.

I decided to keep this blog and continue to use it for experiments I make online. I prefer to keep the site and its content intact as it has been around for quite a while now.

This brings me to review the importance of this blogger test blog I am using for some experimentation. Should I keep it or should I drop it? Does it benefit my main websites or does it reflect poorly on the main website's image?

Things like these are going through my mind at this moment and is making me consider a few options in mind.

Re design this blogger blog with a better self-made customized template
Re brand it as to reflect it as being my connection to the blogger platform
or Drop it altogether?

Being Pinoy can be a mix of being both proud yet ashamed of it at the same time. Proud in the sense that we are Filipinos and are a free people yet ashamed that politics and politicians are using mob rule over the country.

Now we have a mayor from the south and his men beat up an old man and his son, right in front of his daughter during a round of golf.

In this year alone, over one hundred attacks by pirates have been reported where up to fourteen vessels and around 250 crew remain hostage to pirates in the Gulf of Aden.

Piracy has been rampant in the area due to the lack of a functional government in Somalia which has been fighting an 19-year civil war. The situation continues to remain high-risk and unstable even has a multi-national naval presence in the region.

I used blogger extensively back in 2003 when it was not yet under Google. Back then the interface was much simpler but does not seem far from what we use now. My blogger blogs were extensively customized back then when I first used it to tinker with CSS.

The world was free of all forms of comment spam back then and you'd really find it flattering to receive comments from real people.

The switch to a more preferred platform, Wordpress, took place back in 2004 where I started to tinker with custom themes but eventually gave up due to my lack of skill during that time. 90% of the blogs I run and sites I make are now running on Wordpress.

ArchNet is now on blogger to keep me up-to-date on how things are going on in terms interface, usability and for me to just getting a feel of the application.

Archon Digital version 4 is now online. The re-design of this site has been in the works for the past two months and is now going through a soft launch to work out kinks in the code.

No more Entrecard credits for Sale

Entrecard has removed the ability for it's users to sell their hard-earned ECs. Hopefully this measure will help improve the network and purge more made-for-EC sites and splogs.

I wish they get that credit exchange working so EC users would get a chance to earn from their ECs legitimately.
